Technology
What makes a blade premium is what happens at the edge.
A wiper is a simple part doing a difficult job: hold a strip of rubber flat against curved, moving glass through heat, ice, grit, and salt. Here is how StormEdge® is built to do it longer.
Engineering
Designed from the failure point back.
Every wiper fails the same way: the edge wears, pressure drops at the tips, and the streak lands in your line of sight. Each layer of a StormEdge® blade addresses one of those failures.
- 01
Aero spoiler
Integrated spoiler converts airflow into downforce. Grip on the glass increases with speed instead of fading.
- 02
Tensioned spring-steel spine
A single pre-curved steel element distributes pressure evenly along the full blade. No hinges, no pressure gaps, nothing to ice up.
- 03
Dual-compound rubber
A firm natural rubber core for structure, wrapped in a silicone-infused skin that stays supple from -40F to 180F.
- 04
Ceramic-reinforced edge
The wiping edge is reinforced with ceramic particles and finished in graphite. It resists the micro-tears that cause streaks.

Validation
Tested past the point where blades normally fail.
1.5 million cycle wear test
Blades run on a curved glass rig with abrasive slurry until the wipe quality drops below spec. StormEdge® edges pass 1.5M cycles. Industry baseline is 500K.
Thermal cycling
From -40F to 180F, 200 cycles. Compound hardness, edge set, and spine tension are measured before and after.
Highway lift test
Wind tunnel at 85 mph, simulated rain. The spoiler profile must hold full edge contact with zero lift along the length.
Ice load
Blades are frozen to glass under a 3mm ice sheet and cycled from cold. Winter Beam clears on the first sweep with no spine damage.
Conditions
Six conditions. One platform.
Aero spoiler holds the blade down at speed. No lift, no streak.
Frameless spine gives snow nothing to pack into.
Cold-rated compound stays flexible and bites through glaze.
Ceramic edge resists the abrasion that shreds standard rubber.
Even pressure clears wet leaves and pollen without chatter.
Zero haze. Oncoming headlights stay sharp, not smeared.
How it compares
Not every beam blade is built the same.
Beam blades beat frame blades. StormEdge® is engineered past the standard beam with a better compound, a reinforced edge, and a warranty that reflects it.
Ready
Put it on your glass.
